Set along the dunes of Half Moon Bay, Waves + Roots is a family retreat designed for gathering and grounding. NDG collaborated from the ground up to create a second home that mirrors the calm rhythm of the coast through organic materials, layered textures, and soft, natural tones.

Every element was designed to age beautifully — from warm wood and patinaed hardware to thoughtful details like post-surf shower access and hidden storage. The result is a relaxed, refined retreat that feels effortless, enduring, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
