The San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2025
The Global Nest & The Global Nest Bathroom
Years ago, while traveling through Southeast Asia, Kendra Nash had planned to visit the island of Phuket. A spontaneous detour to attend a Full Moon Party on the mainland—an all-night celebration of the lunar cycle filled with music, dancing, and fire-lit rituals—unintentionally altered her path. That twist of fate kept her from being in Phuket during the devastating tsunami.
Deeply moved by the tragedy she narrowly escaped and the destruction she later witnessed, Kendra embarked on an extended journey of discovery through Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Australia, and Mexico. This immersive experience laid the foundation for her design philosophy—awakening a passion for artisanal craftsmanship, art, and the storytelling power of texture and pattern.
The Global Nest is a richly layered space that weaves together the emotional and visual impressions of Kendra’s travels. Earthy, sunbaked tones drawn from Mexico, vibrant greens inspired by New Zealand, and intricate Southeast Asian textiles come together in a soulful, transportive retreat that honors culture, memory, and meaningful design.
The Global Nest
Lunar Symbolism
Inspired by the Full Moon Party in Thailand. The moon represents culmination, reflection, and renewal—symbols of unity across global cultures.
The Global Nest Bathroom
Curved & Circular Forms
Seen throughout the lighting and furniture, these shapes evoke eternity, wholeness, and interconnectedness.
Our favorite part
The deep, saturated walls contrast beautifully with natural wood, creating a space that feels both grounded and transcendent.
