Design is more than what you see — it’s how a space moves, functions, and feels every day. We begin by listening: how a family gathers, how light shifts throughout the day, and how a home should evolve over time.

Every decision has intent. We balance structure with softness, blending materials and tones that age gracefully and feel natural to live with. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do — partnering with architects, builders, and artisans so every home feels cohesive, intuitive, and deeply personal.

Founder’s

Story

Born and raised in Atherton, California, Kendra Nicholas Nash founded Nash Design Group in 2011 after beginning her career in Silicon Valley’s fast-paced real estate world. Known for her rare blend of construction fluency and creative intuition, she designs homes that feel lived-in, layered, and distinctly personal.

Kendra’s process is hands-on and deeply collaborative. She partners with architects and builders from the first sketch through final styling, blending precision with warmth at every step. Whether it’s an expansive estate or a cozy bungalow, her eye for proportion, texture, and flow brings effortless cohesion to every project.

Inspiration often comes from the everyday — her husband’s tattoos, a flea-market textile, a museum afternoon, or time spent outdoors. Her aesthetic is clean and organic, with a few playful surprises — a mix of polish and personality that keeps her work grounded and unmistakably hers.

  • FAVE FLORAL: I need to have plants in every room. My current favorites are Calatheas and Rubber figs

    BOTTOMS UP: Hmm depends on the day. A crisp glass of white wine or a Paloma made with Don Julio 70! Yumm 

    BINGE WORTHY: Bravo Bravo Bravo! I said what I said

    DREAM PROJECT: I love second homes. There’s so much design freedom we get to explore with them. I’ve worked on Beach homes and I’d like to manifest more of that!

    LET’S VACAY: I’m a do-nothing person on vacation. I want to eat super good, have a cocktail in hand at all times and get a tan. So wherever I can do that, I’m happy!

    CREATIVE GENIUS: Fleetwood Mac. I love Divorced Dad rock

    FEED ME: A big sushi boat! 

    I BOW TO YOU: Emma Watson... she is an advocate for gender equality, plus she’s a brilliant witch.

    BINGEWORTHY: Rick Steves’ Europe on PBS. 20 seasons of mild-mannered tourism. I got the DVD box set for my 16th birthday!

    DREAM PROJECT: Eclectic Victorian remodel with all the historically accurate bells and whistles.

    LET’S VACAY: Bilbao Spain/Pyranese Mountains/Basque Region of Spain. Port cities are my fave, and I’d love to connect with my Basque heritage.

    CREATIVE GENIUS: 17th Century Delft Painter Johannes Vermeer. You know him from “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and “The Milkmaid”

    FEED ME: Grit City Lox Bagel from Howdy Bagel. Cold smoked salmon, pickled red cabbage, cucumber, chive cream cheese on a salt bagel. Perfect.

    I BOW TO YOU: Martha Stewart...insider trading aside, any one who makes it okay to be house-proud is cool in my book.

    I BOW TO YOU: Ruther Bader Ginsberg...an amazing woman who fought for what she believed in and never let anyone or anything stop her. And Leslie Knope who always finds the silver lining in every situation. She always picks herself up, dusts herself off, and shows the world what she’s made of.
